CNRS concours - Results Out !
Look Mom, I am a real scientist!
Finally! After the nail-biting (and excruciating) finish on the ranking list last year, I am overjoyed to get started on this adventure at the [PhLAM] (https://phlam.univ-lille.fr/) lab.
The main focus of my work will be on emulating bio-inspired neural networks with coherent and nonlinear optical systems. But I will continue to dabble with my first love, imaging :) Many thanks to the mentors and colleagues at [Institut Fresnel] (https://www.fresnel.fr), at ISMO and more recently at Cailabs.
As a reminder to myself in the future -> Never forget that the whole process remains a bit of a lottery, despite the best intentions of the jury and the institutions involved. And I was extremely lucky that the dice rolled in my favour. This has to change. Time ang again, technological progress has been a remarkable tool of social development. In this context, the precarious nature of the research landscape academic job market is disgusting.
